Visa Matters

Participants are responsible for obtaining a valid visa before traveling to Hungary. The Hungarian Consulate recommends that you submit your application for a visa in a timely manner. The General Consulate of Hungary prefers to receive visa applications three months prior to your departure.

 

General Requirements:

·         Valid passport

·         1 passport-size color photo (not older than six months)

·         Application form legibly completed and signed.  Please download application from the website at www.mfa.gov.hu  and click on Information on Consular matters or the General Consulate of Hungary in your states.  See chart below:

·         Travel medical insurance

·         Certificate of the financial coverage of expenses, and a certificate of the purpose of the visit; Example of financial coverage expenses are: a valid ticket, and a certificate of a reserved and prepaid accommodation; certificate from the bank;

·         Letter of invitation issued and endorsed by the Hungarian Office of Immigration and Nationality.
